The beautiful town of Arequipa glistened with white volcanic sillar stone; legend has it that when the moon left the earth Arequipa was left behind!

Here we walked around and relaxed in the sun while spending a lot of pocket money in the local market.

Visited Santa Catalina Convent, founded in 1579, and has preserved architectural designs which are a superb example of the fusion between Spanish and native styles. The walls are bright blue and red and beautiful.
