This morning we had to leave home at 7:30am in order to arrive at Larry's audiologist appointment on time. Yep, 7:30am! Ughhhhh, I hate early mornings. Maybe that wouldn't be the case if I got to bed before 2am but I AM a night owl. Not typical for most rv'ers for sure!
Anyway, there were two lovely hot air balloons sailing over & setting down here at the campground while I was in the shower. By the time I dried off & got dressed they were afloat but I did manage to capture a few shots of them crossing Hwy 16A right across the street. They sailed right over our church & vets office before settling down in the meadow in back. I'm not sure one of them meant to settle down quite so close to the trees but they were still upright in the basket so I guess all went well. Sure would have loved to walk in & talk with them & get better pics but we needed to get on down the road.
Larry's appointment went well & he is much happier with his aids. Which makes me happy because now he'll leave them in & I won't have to repeat everything 3 times! Went to a movie later that day & they really worked out well. We saw 'A Walk In the Woods' with Robert Redford & Nick Nolte. It was good, not great, but fun. They are getting older, like all the rest of us, but they had some pretty cute lines. We give it a 3+ out of 5? Maybe wait to see it on video???
We also stopped at the booming little town of Buffalo Gap on this particular trip. But more on that later. Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day :)
