Snapped this one when the sky lit up...Can you see the difference?...

Monday evening we traveled about 20 minutes into Custer State Park to the Tatanka Theatre to hear our friends the Ramblin' Rangers play. They've been in Montana performing & just arrived back in town, so it was good to see them. This was their last 2015 summer performance at this theatre & there was a good crowd.

The weather has cooled considerable & we've had rain for the past couple of days. There was a pretty good fog when we left for home which made it a bit eery. Rain, fog & an amazing light show too! I tried to get several pics through the windshield but it was a no go :( Too bad, it was quite interesting. Glad their were no critters on the road!

Tuesday we stayed in all day. I chopped & diced all the veggies I had in the fridge & made homemade chicken noodle soup. It rained on & off but I really can't complain. I had been whining at Larry over the weekend about everything drying up & stated that "we really need a good rain". Well, never ask for what you really don't want. Isn't that the way that saying goes? LOL

Today we met our friend Tony for lunch. He's been out of town all summer & it was good to see him again. We tried to visit the new tortillaria but arrived to find a note on the door that due to labor & legal issues they were sorry to have to remain closed for the rest of the season. So, Pizza Hut buffet wound up being on the menu. Yeah, I know, it's amazing that we have a Pizza Hut in this small town. After all, there isn't even a McDonald's! Or any other chain 'restaurant' for that matter. Our meal was okay but we enjoyed our visit very much.

Tonight we're back out at Tatanka to hear our friend Frank Gregg play. This will be his final 2015 summer engagement also. Looks like fall is sneaking up on us faster than we'd like! Boo hoo...

And finally, the oncologist called & he has put in the request for Larry's surgery. We're waiting to hear an appointment time & location. They are trying to decide whether to remove the cancer at Mayo Clinic in Rochester or here at the Rapid City Cancer Clinic. I'll let you know as soon as we know. Thanks again for all your kind comments & most importantly your prayers. They are greatly appreciated!
