Today Larry & I, along with Dick & Lou, attended the 2015 Dakota Thunder Air Show at Ellsworth AFB, just outside of Rapid City. It was a great show & other than the extremely hot temperature (100+) we really enjoyed it.

The stars of the show this year were the Golden Knights & of course the USAF Thunderbirds. In addition, the show offered a Military Working Dog demo, aerobatic demonstrations, a Glider demo, a MIG-17 & F-86 dogfight & the list goes on.

This was a free family event with a goal to highlight the mission, resources & personnel of Ellsworth AFB, while providing education & awareness for civilian & military aviation.

If you are in the area and missed today's event it will be open tomorrow, Sunday, August 16th. Gates open at 9am, show starts at 10am. No outside drinks or food, vendors onsite. And no nail clippers or knives. Larry lost a pocket knife today :( Not the one's you gave him Mom if you are reading this!!! LOL

Anyway, it was good to be out & about & we had a great day. Hope you enjoy the pics. And, if you look on my FB page you will find a 5 minute video compilation I shot today. Not an easy feat at the height & speed they were flying!!! Enjoy :)
