|I trust you all had a safe & happy New Years Eve & day? We chose to stay in & celebrate in a nice warm environment as it was windy & very cold here. Didn't seem to slow down the 340,000 folks down on the strip & downtown though, lol! Local TV does a nice job of broadcasting the event & even though we can see the fireworks from the living room window it's actually better watching them on the tube. Brother Larry even made it until midnight this year! Only because we were playing hand & foot but that's ok. Bonnie got a kiss from her hubby at the stroke of midnight for the first time in several years, lol :)
We splurged a bit New Years Eve & had crab legs for dinner, yummy...Then yesterday Bonnie prepared pork roast with all the traditional new years day trimmings. Bill, Cindy & family joined us for dinner too. We talked to Mom & she went out for a nice dinner with sister Lori & Marion, then to the casino for a bit. Said she had a nice evening & she managed to get home 10 cents ahead!
We're planning to take it easy over the next few days. It's been so hectic as I am sure you can all relate! Christmas decorations will come down on Saturday & niece KenAnn is coming over early Sunday morning for a bit of help with her computer & IPod. We're having lunch with our friend Pat Cooper on Monday before she returns to her home in Kalama, Washington. Looking forward to that:) Larry's birthday is the following Saturday so we'll celebrate both niece Cindy's birthday & his on the 10th. And then all too soon it will be time to head to Arizona for the 2015 Southern Gospel Musical Festival in Phoenix. We love this event, such a great way to start our new year!
Well, that's it for now. We hope you had a wonderful past couple of days & hope the new year brings joy, peace & happiness to you & all of your family. God Bless!
