At the Tsunami Memorial in Khao Lok

Remembering...

Learning some traditional Thai dance steps...

Team building...

Reviewing Photos with Josh...

Unforgettable smiles...

"Just a little more..."

On the swing...

Reaching for the future...

Writing some goals and challenge...Kang's goal...to open a restaurant. Her challenge...She doesn't...

Kang...

Nom...our best helper!

Turning over a new leaf...

My friend Tim had been in Thailand when the Tsunami hit in 2004. He experienced the terror and desvastaion first hand and has been raised over $5000 to help over the past few years. On this trip, he Josh and Rick had arranged to provide some games and training to help the staff of the Baan Tharn Namchai orphanage create a postive outlook for the future for the kids. This is no easy task as many of the children have lost everything and are plagued by recurring nightmares and fears. Still, we played a number of games witht the kids and staff to develop teamwork, create dreams and goals for the future, and to help encourage them to take steps towards a postive future.

I can only hope that the activities shared with them will have as lasting an impression on them as their smiles and hospitality have had on me.
