Then wandered through the champagne area of France. Met up with neighbours from Papamoa, Kate and John, who are doing the same as us. One of the nights we stayed at a winery – it was luxury! Were parked under trees, which was so nice in the heat. Had a covered area beside us, showers and toilets, barbecues available (charcoal provided), dishwashing area, lounge and free washing machine. €15 for the night. Pretty good, when it usually costs €8 for a load of washing. Our barbecue took quite a while to get going, but we hunted in the trees for small branches, rather than resorting to a hair dryer 𯘊 The champagne was very enjoyable. Great to be with familiar faces and talk about all our travels.
