Cape Perpetua, Snail?

We are in one of the most scenic areas of the Oregon Coast, named Yachats, about 70 miles north of Coos Bay. The beach we are parked next to is gorgeous, the only down side is the wind is non stop. It comes up about 9:00 AM everyday and apparently blows until September. Our little group is tough and will not let a little breeze slow us down. Or first day we went north to Newport, to see the town, visit Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and shop at a neat farmers market, and even attended a car show at the local Elks Club. We ended a good day with a happy hour sponsored by the RV Park. Our next cold windy day was spent touring he coast south of Yachats including a visit to the Heceta Head Lightstation. On the hike to the lighthouse we spotted three whales swimming just off shore, but getting a good picture was not in the cards for me. We did get the opportunity to take some great pictures, along the coast. We also let Thelma & Louise run loose on a wide open beach, and they ran and they ran, so did Mary Ann and Carmen trying to catch them. Our final day here was spent hiking to see "Devils Churn, and the Cape Perpetua Scenic area. Tomorrow we are moving north to Tillamook, and hopefully some warmer weather
