The Travellers (minus the dog)

Rainy Runway

Up and pack away some stuff as well as a quick breakfast then off to get Jan. She was already so we packed up the car and headed out. Easy ride with one stop then to the Comfort Inn and a fairly easy transfer to the shuttle and off to Dulles.

At Dulles there was a huge line – but it went really quickly and we checked our bags and headed off with no problems. Security went pretty well – I had my shoes off but didn’t need to. Jan was held up a bit with her implants. But through, to the train to the boarding gate, and there an hour before boarding.

Loaded on the plane and the seats were fine. A problem immediately developed in that the runway was crowded and there were thunderstorms in the area so we sat for almost 2 ½ hours. Captain told us about a discussion and options of stopping in England to refuel or flying more slowly. The thunderstorm hit and we waited it out and then off we went!
