Overnight flight to Lima, then a short layover and on to Cusco in the southern Andes. We spent the afternoon on Christmas Day walking around the Plaza de Armes in central Cusco (the center square, as we’d call it). We found a nice restaurant, and they served us Pisco Sours with our dinner. That is the national drink in Peru. It is made out of grape brandy and whipped egg white. We brought a pedometer along, just for fun to see how much walking we do. Today we walked 1.17 miles.
