I closed on my house yesterday, and have moved my rig to a local Elk's Club where I'll likely stay until I retire next Thursday. I have been surprised and pleased that I have felt almost no sellers remorse about the sale of my house. It's been a great investment in a nice neighborhood, but it's way bigger than I need and required way too much lifetime and money to maintain. Time to move on, and I am so very ready to move on! I've been living in my rig for over a week now and love it. Everything that you need, very little that you don't, and all very efficiently organized and laid out, not to mention a great sound system. I find that I sleep better in the rig than I did in my house. I don't have a clue why that is, but it's a fact.
A local CBS affiliate, WBDJ7 decided to do a story about me and my new lifestyle, which aired at 11:00pm last night and again at 6:30am today. It turned out quite well and was a lot of fun doing. A friend made a copy of it for me and I'm going to get an original copy from the TV station also. My 15 minutes of fame.
I'm probably going to reorganize everything in the basement of the rig and the back of the Ranger over the weekend. I've been brutal about getting rid of things that I really don't need and will probably get rid of even more before I leave Roanoke.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Looks like decent weather.
