Land's RV Trip

Tim travel blog
Welcome to our trip journal! I retired in June 2011. We left in July for our RV Trip around the USA. Zach our son flew out to Albany, NY to meet up with us. He traveled with us during our time in the Northeast. He flew back to Oregon from Providence, RI. We flew home from Jacksonville, FL for the holidays and continued our adventure along the southern route and then up the west coast to Oregon. We are now back at home. We spent $4857.93 on gas/service and traveled 15,676 miles. We got an average of 11.7 miles per gallon with and without the trailer. I drive a Ford 150 and have a 24 foot travel trailer. If you want to take an RV trip forget about the high cost of gas and go. It might be more expensive later and you or your spouse are not getting any younger. This is a great country. We saw many beautiful sites and met some great people. We never felt unsafe. The Lord looked out after us the whole way. We are blessed to have been able to take such a trip. It was nice to catch up with old friends and family. We went many places but Oregon looks good to us at least for now!
