SEATTLE to SAN DIEGO the long way

Rosemary & Bob travel blog
Rosemary and Bob are embarking on a Pacific Rim "Grand Asia & Australia Voyage" on the Holland America Line flagship ms AMSTERDAM. This ship will set sail from the Queen City of Seattle on 19 September, traverse the Bering Sea to Russia, then travel southerly along the Pacific coast of Asia, through the South China Sea down under to Australia, cross the Tasman Sea and the Coral Sea, pass through the islands of the South Pacific, and finally arrive in sunny San Diego on 23 November after having crossed the Equator and the International Dateline twice each. The wondrous and exotic ports of call we visit will allow us to see and experience places we had heretofore only experienced via books and film.
An on-line travel journal of our trip is being created with text and pictures posted regularly. The descriptive prose will furnish unvarnished, sometimes critical, impressions of our daily adventures, the places we visit, and the people we see. Narratives from Bob will be labeled "RBM"; musings from Rosemary will be labeled, "RKM"
"....so be our guest, you got nothin' to lose,
..........won't you let us take you on a Sea Cruise."
